With the two contributions on this split, the already way too good Icelandic black metal scene has grown wildly more dangerous. While I prefer Hof for its sheer brutality and wildfire-like character, Sinmara's offering serves as the more melodic counterpart, preventing this release from becoming the musical equivalent of chlorine trifluoride and burning this world to cinders. This is still heavy and breakneck black metal, so do not expect to get through this without burning or hurting yourself.
